Garment Shop

The garment shop is located in the John J. Moran Medium Security facility. Approximately 10-15 inmates are employed in this shop where they cut, sew, and prepare for delivery the inmate uniforms, towels, sheets, pillowcases and laundry bags used by all RIDOC facilities. Other customers include Rhode Island Training School and RI Department of Labor and Training. The sewing and tailoring skills along with hard work ethic learned in this shop are transferable to other employment sectors.
