Furniture/Upholstery Shop

Our facility functions as a comprehensive furniture restoration and manufacturing center, specializing in the repair, refurbishment, and reconditioning of a wide range of furniture. This includes, but is not limited to, office chairs, lounge seating, sofas, sectionals, ottomans, and specialty pieces commonly used in institutional, commercial, and office settings.

All restoration and fabrication work is completed by trained inmates participating in a structured vocational program. Through hands-on training, they develop the skills and knowledge necessary to work with diverse furniture styles and conditions. Whether performing simple upholstery replacements or full structural repairs, each project is executed with precision and a commitment to quality.

We maintain a broad inventory of upholstery materials, including various fabrics, vinyl's, and leathers, allowing us to match original finishes or create custom designs. Inmates are trained in foam replacement, frame repair,, and fabric pattern alignment to restore or modernize furniture to like-new condition.

In addition to restoration, the program designs and builds new furniture focused on office chairs and modular panel systems suited for high-traffic professional environments. Each piece is constructed from quality materials such as solid hardwood frames, commercial-grade foams, and durable upholstery, selected to ensure longevity, comfort, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Under expert supervision, inmates participate in all production phases—from design and prototyping to assembly and quality control—ensuring every product meets rigorous craftsmanship and durability standards.
